conv-auction
Run an auction from your table
Made for conventions. Put a piece up, show the code, and let the room bid from their phones - no accounts, no paper slips, no shouting over the aisle.
- 1 Name the piece, set a starting price, and say how long the auction runs - an afternoon, or right up to closing time. Add a photo if the item does not speak for itself.
- 2 Write the six-character code on a sign, or read it out. Visitors type it once and they are in - nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
- 3 Every bid is public, and a bid in the final seconds pushes the clock back. Nobody wins by standing at your table waiting for it to run out.
You keep control of your own auction: correct the description, extend the time, cancel a mistaken bid, or close early when the hall does.
